De eerste nummers bevatten artikelen, essays en vertalingen van proza en poëzie uit o.a. Marokko. In het voorwoord van het eerste nummer verklaren de auteurs dat er nog geen noemenswaardig Engelstalig literaire tijdscriften beschikbaar zijn voor het publiek over amazigh literaire en wetenschappelijke producties. Ze willen daar verandering in brengen: “In the disciplines that study the Maghreb and the Middle East, Tamazight is one of the most overlooked Indigenous languages and cultures.
