Call for participation
Issni N’Ourgh international Amazigh film festival invites film makers to participate in celebrating Amazigh cinema by applying to participate in its ninth edition. The ninth edition of the annual festival will be held from the 02nd to 06th of November 2015 in Agadir by Issni n Ourgh association in partnership with the Municipal Council Agadir, Royal institute for Amazigh culture and other partners.
After the success of the eighth edition, which was marked by the celebration of the theme of “Human Rights” cinema along with the production of three short films and the publication of 5 books dealing with Amazigh cinema and television, the Issni N’0urgh festival administration promises that the ninth edition will be an open meeting for fruitful exchange between Amazigh and World cinemas.
The organizers of the international festival of Amazigh film kindly request participants to send their films from July 10 until August 25.
Participants who meet the conditions for participation in the festival’s film competition are requested to download the participation form on the festival’s Website www.festivalissninourgh.com or via the official page of the festival on facebook: https://tinyurl.com/nmo7pfd or through E-mail: festivalissninourgh@gmail.com
The competition will include the following categories:
- Competition of long drama films
- Competition of short drama films
- Completion of documentary films
- Competition of Video films
Issni n ourgh international Amazigh film festival in Agadir is offers a venue in which the Amazigh filmmakers and cinema lovers interact with international cinema. The festival is a bridge linking Amazigh cinema in North Africa with the international cinema. The five-day event is also an occasion to exchange expertise and know-how between filmmakers .
Helping the Youths lies at the heart of the Issni N’0urgh festival. For over three years, the festival has been equipping the youth with skills to refine their expertise, notably through organizing training sessions supervised and guided by Moroccan or foreigners experts in cinema area. Moreover, the festival encourages the youth to be innovative in a range of fields relating to cinema such as writing scenarios, photography, directing and film production through Issni N 0urgh fund for supporting Amazigh film. The names of the members of the jury will be announced later by the festival’s director.
